What is kinesiology good for

5/3/2019

If you’re unsure of what kinesiology is good for, or what it even is, but are interested in learning more about it, this is the place to be. With the aim of clearing things up and perhaps even putting your mind at ease if you're considering undergoing holistic kinesiology, we will detail everything we can to help you make an informed decision.

Before we get stuck into it, perhaps it’s best to first answer the question “what is kinesiology?” Simply put, kinesiology is the practice of testing the muscles with the aim of identifying and rectifying imbalances in one’s body’s structural, chemical, and emotional energy. Kinesiologists train to access the movement of energy in the body, while also studying all the factors that influence movement. During a session, they will learn what the body’s healing needs are and look at any changes in energy that are brought on by a spectrum of therapeutic procedures.

What is Kinesiology Good for?

While it’s known throughout the industry that advanced kinesiology works well to uncover and assist with a variety of conditions, there are several areas where the practice truly shines. Some examples of areas that healing has been found through kinesiology include:
  • Muscular injuries
  • Boosting performance in sports
  • Overcoming trauma
  • Identifying nutritional issues
  • Allergic reactions
  • Supporting stress (emotional, physical, and mental)
  • Enhancing healing
  • Overcoming fears and phobias

Does Kinesiology Work?

Throughout our many years spent in the industry of holistic kinesiology, we've had a multitude of patients come through our doors seeking out our services in advanced kinesiology. Each patient is unique, of course; however they've seen great success, and we've managed to assist them in identifying conditions they didn't know they had while helping them in rectifying what's wrong.

To read real stories from real patients of ours, please look through their testimonials. These will ultimately help you find out more about how our kinesiology practitioners can help you.

Is Kinesiology Safe for Kids?

Absolutely. Because kinesiology is completely non-invasive and gentle, it’s ideal for children and identifying the areas they may require help in before it starts to affect them in later life. Whether it be bullying that’s causing their body stress, an issue related to IBS, or if they need help improving at their chosen sport, our kinesiologists can assist.

What Does a Session Involve?

Once you’ve booked your session for kinesiology, your practitioner will have you lay down on a massage table, where they’ll use muscle testing techniques to assist with the identification of problem areas. Your kinesiologist may test one or a combination of muscles to determine where the stress in your body may be situated. And then, we use techniques or sound tools to support energy pathways to restore balance to your body.

If the blockage of energy is being caused by emotional stress, your kinesiologist will chat to you about it and make you consciously aware of the problem, so you can take the necessary steps to lower your stress levels, and refer you on if necessary.
