Naturopathic Consultation
Why Naturopathy? Naturopathy is a form of natural medicine that has been traditionally practiced throughout the world for centuries but not officially recognised until the late 1800’s. It focuses on uncovering and treating the cause of disease rather than just covering up the presenting symptoms felt by the patient. Naturopathy looks at the body as a whole, an interrelated system that when given the right conditions, can heal itself. Another primary focus of Naturopaths is future disease prevention, thereby by adopting the philosophy ‘Prevention is the best cure’. Statistics show that more and more Australians are turning to this natural approach to health care.
At Natureco Health Centre in Joondalup and Vic Park, all the Naturopaths are trained in Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Iridology & Nutritional Medicine and will also take into account the mental and spiritual aspects of disease. In the past natural therapies has been criticised for not having enough scientific validation. At Natureco clinics in Perth, we embrace technology, like the Cellular Health Analysis (Bio-Impedance Machine), Microcurrent therapy and Hemaview Live Blood Screening with scientifically proven results thus developing a more professional approach to community health care. Your practitioner may choose to use this technology during your consultation when they find it appropriate.
All our Naturopaths at Natureco belong to an accredited association such as the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) or Complementary Medicine Association (CMA), to ensure they have undertaken the full training necessary to be qualified to look after you health.

Acupuncture Consultation
Why Acupuncture? Acupuncture is the practice of inserting fine disposable needles into specific acupoints on the skin to stimulate the movement of Qi or Chi (life force energy) through the body’s meridian channels. It has been practised in China for over 5000 years and plays a major part in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is often used to alleviate a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal pain, low energy levels, infertility, headaches or migraines, addictions and compromised immune systems. As the needles are very fine, pain is not normally felt by the patient, but rather a moderate tingling sensation.
At Natureco – An Acupuncture consultation involves a brief Traditional Chinese Medicine consult followed by the Acupuncture session and nutritional/lifestyle advice. Often chinese herbs are prescribed by the practitioner to assist the healing process.

Microcurrent Consultant
Why Microcurrent? Microcurrent therapy has been around for over 15 years overseas but fairly new in Australia. The microcurrent machine uses currents, with the same micro-amps as our body cells, to give streams of life giving electrons to specific tissues of the body. Your body uses this microcurrent energy to increase energy production by up to 500%, to reduce pain and inflammation, increase protein synthesis (repair), increase local circulation, increase waste removal and assist the symptoms of many degenerative diseases. The current is so low that it doesn’t stimulate sensory nerves which means you can’t feel it. Warmth may be felt however as the current resonates with a dysfunctional cell when correcting its function to normal.
At Natureco – A Microcurrent consultation involves a brief consultation, Microcurrent therapy session and pain specific massage or Bowen therapy where appropriate. Our experienced practitioner will also provide nutritional and lifestyle advice to assist in your healing.

Counselling Consultation
Why Counselling? Every day life can bring with it issues that require us to seek help from professionals for physical support, like supplementation, pain relief, advice on diet and exercise stress reduction etc. Sometimes, however, we need to address not just the physical body but also the mind and the spirit. This is where a holistic approach can be a tremendous help to you.
Perhaps you are dealing with motivational difficulties in relation to weight loss or exercise issues. Maybe you are unhappy with being dependant on stimulants, like tea, coffee, alcohol or cigarettes to get you through the day. Perhaps frustration is getting you down in relation to issues around fertility or other life difficulties. It may be that you are just unhappy with yourself or the direction your life is travelling in right now. Live the life you have always wanted!
At Natureco – We provide a holistic approach to counselling that can give you the help you need to sort out issues that are creating pain or difficulty in your life. Hemaview Consultation
Why Hemaview? Hemaview is a form of live blood screening that may help your Practitioner improve your health more than ever before. Using only one drop of your blood, your Practitioner will use Hemaview to investigate the size, shape and ratios of the red cells, white cells and platelets in your blood. You may have had blood tests before, but nothing compares to seeing your own blood live on a screen in front of you.
Hemaview is based on the medical science of Hematology. It provides an accurate and immediate indication of the state of your general health. Hemaview can help your Practitioner assess you for the following factors:
- Diet and nutrition
- Immune system function
- Oxidative stree and free radical damage
- Inflammation
- Liver function
At Natureco – Practitioners are fully trained to screen your blood and explain how different aspects may relate to your health. Your Practitioner will work with you to develop a dietary and lifestyle plan to improve your health. Not only will you feel the difference, but with Hemaview you can see the changes in your blood as your treatment progresses.

Bowen Therapy
Why Bowen Therapy? This non invasive therapy involves a series of selectively placed transverse muscle-fibre movements to stimulate the soft tissue (fascia) found between muscles and skin. The effect creates a window of opportunity for the fascia to become re-hydrated which in turn assists the structures housed within this tissue (your nerves, muscles, lymph, vascular structures and organs. This results in improved function in these structures, leading to improved health.
At Natureco The number of treatments you will require will depend entirely on the severity of the condition being treated. For most conditions 2 – 3 treatments over a 2 – 3 week period will be sufficient. About 98% of clients notice an improvement after the first treatment, usually before they even get off the treatment table. A small percentage of clients may not notice much change initially, but often comment on an improvement within a few days or in other areas of the body not directly treated.

Massage Therapy
Why Massage Therapy? Massage therapy, or Remedial therapy, is a hands-on approach to healing the body. Often the body’s soft tissue is overworked, tight or injured resulting in a build up of fluid, inflammation and toxic by-products. This is felt by the person as tension, irritability and pain. The right massage will result in a reduction of swelling, pain, tension and stress whilst improving blood and lymph flow. Clients often report a relaxed sense of well being for hours after the massage has finished.
At Natureco – Our qualified practitioners offer a variety of massages to suit your specific needs. Pamper yourself with a relaxing feel-good Swedish massage designed to wind you down from life’s hectic pace. For treatment to those deeper muscles, a Sports massage can help iron out those knots, improve sports-like injuries and enhance physical performance. If the feel of smooth, warm volcanic stones deeply radiating heat into you tired sore muscles sounds inviting, then a Hot Stone massage is for you. A long and relaxing massage experience. The traditional Indian Aruvedic massage uses specific aromatic oils to restore balance and harmony to the individual. One massage is great but a series of appointments can have a cumulative effect on the mind, body and soul. Reflexology is also available for those who enjoy the foot massage. By stimulating reflex points on the feet, major energy channels connecting every organ system of the body, open and clear, resulting in improved overall function. Reiki is our newest therapy offered at Natureco. It is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Administered by the 'laying on of hands' to improve the flow of life force energy through your body via the therapist. For those who enjoy a combination of massage with acupressure, try a Chinese Massage known as Tui Na. It aims to establish a more balanced harmonious flow of Qi through-out the body's energy channels.
